Course Information
During the first semester, emphasis will be placed on the trigonometry of the right triangle, the uses and applications of the calculator, the applications and graphs of the trigonometric functions, the proving of identities and the solutions of trigonometric equations.
Pre-calculus is the prelude to A.P. Calculus. It is intended to cover many areas that are detailed and discussed in accelerated mathematics: graphing of straight lines, quadratics, cubics, and conic sections. Limits and continuity will be discussed heavily as well as the derivative of many algebraic functions.
If time permits, applications of the derivative will be followed by integration of algebraic functions.
